A bicycle locked by a chain to a lamp-post was lifted up along the length of the lamp-post, all the while staying attached to the post via the chain lock. The bicycle and lock together were then removed from the post at it’s very top. Afterwhich the lamp-post was inserted into the “middle” of the triangle of the bicycle frame. The bicycle is returned to near its original resting place. The original lock is not destroyed or altered and remains locked to the bike. The bike was not stolen but it is now definitely trapped. The owner of the bicycle can unlock their chain-lock but they cannot get the bicycle freed without some brainstorming.
